Kelsea recently started a new role as the sales and product developmen­t manager with Destinatio­n Membertou. She hails from the community of New Waterford and is excited about the new and growing opportunit­ies in the community of Membertou. Kelsea is an active member of her community, spending her leisure time with organizati­ons like Rotary, the Cape Breton University Alumni Associatio­n, and enjoying time with family and friends. What talent would you most like to have: The ability to play an instrument, particular­ly the guitar.

Coffee or Tea: Tea all the way.

What is your favourite food: I love everything that is food- ha! Pizza is high on the list. Favourite movie: Sleepless in Seattle. Favourite music: A mix - John Mayer is always at the top of my playlist.

Favourite book: I have many. Recently read Annette Verschuren’s “Bet On Me” – brilliant. Pet Peeve: The Cape Breton Rant Room on Facebook.

Which trait in people do you most admire:

I adore genuine and authentic individual­s being true to themselves no matter what. What is your motto or favourite saying: I am often heard saying that I have “Joy in my soul” meaning something makes me happy or pleased. What is your favourite thing about Cape Breton: The people, the experience­s, and running into everyone you know through the aisles of Sobeys.

Where is your favourite place to travel: I have enjoyed travelling to many different places, my favourite to date is Italy.
