Lucy ‘Pauline’ MacDougall, age 76 of New Waterford, passed away on Wednesday, March 1st, 2017 at the New Waterford Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Born in New Waterford on December 2, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Alexander (Sandy) and Marie Louise (Ivy) Poirier.

Pauline was a member of St. Leonard’s Parish Church. She enjoyed going for drives, going to the casino; and attending all the sporting events with her grandchild­ren whom were the joy of her life.

Pauline is survived by her husband, Lawrence of 56 years; son, Darrell, New Waterford; daughter, Darlene (Trevor MacLeod) MacDougall, Scotchtown; grandchild­ren, Jeremy Fraser, Kelsey –Lynn Hogan, New Waterford; brothers, Angie, Johnnie, James ‘Jimmy’ (Margie), all of New Waterford. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Pauline was predecease­d by sisters, Mary Mathilda Desmond, Mary Louise Harris, Mary and Marie in infancy; brothers, Benny, Joe, Henry, and Jimmy in infancy.

There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of V.J. McGillivra­y Funeral Home, 380 Smith Street, New Waterford.

Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday March 8, 2017 at 10 a.m. in St. Leonard’s Parish, Mount Carmel Avenue, with Fr. Ray Huntley officiatin­g. Internment will be held in Mount Carmel Cemetery.

Reception will follow in St. Leonard’s hall on Convent Street, New Waterford.

Donations in memory of Pauline may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
