WILLIAMS, Anne Helena

-

Ingonish Beach, NS

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Anne Helena Williams, aged 90, of Ingonish Beach, on March 2, 2017 at Highland Manor.

Helena was devoted to her family and was renowned for her delicious bread and sweets. She loved to golf and often reminisced about the time she got a “hole in one” on number five, the site of her family home; but her favorite occupation, aside from her flowers, was bingo with her friends. As a young girl, she worked in Montreal and returned home to work at the Keltic Lodge and marry the love of her life, John Williams in 1951. She was a devoted Catholic and a member of St. Peter’s Parish.

Helena was the beloved mother of David (Darlene), Diane (Mike), Blair (Rychina), Pat (Lee) and Johnny (Sherry), the dearly loved grandmother of Justin, Jeremy, Jason, Daniel, Sara, Vanessa, Sheena, Allison, Meagan, Kristin and Hailey and the great-grandmother of Braelyn.

Helena was predeceased by her parents, Claire and Peter Dauphinee; her husband, John; her sister, Marie and brothers, Ronald, Neil, John, Eltie and John James.

Family will receive guests at the church from 1:30 until 2:30 p.m. with the Funeral Mass being held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, March 6, 2017 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Ingonish with Fr. J. Andrade officiating. Interment in St. Peter’s Cemetery will take place at a later date.

We would like to sincerely thank the staff of Highland Manor for their kindness and compassion towards Helena and her family during her last days.

“Fly with the Angels Mom, until we meet again”

Online condolences can be sent to Fillmore and Whitman Funeral Home.
