It is with deep sadness after battling with cancer that we announce the passing of Corey Anthoney Lewis, age 23, on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at home, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on February 6, 1994 in Sydney, Corey was the son of Lydia Pasher and Ritchie Lewis.

Corey lived a simple life. He worked at Servicom as an agent up until the time of his terminal illness. Corey was a family man and loved to spend time with his family and friends going to the beach or spending the day fishing. He was a big fan of expanding his Dragon Ball Z collection. Corey will be remembered by his family and friends for being a kind loving husband and father even though his time on earth was short lived due to battling cancer. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Corey is survived by his wife, Haven Dube-Lewis and six month old baby son, Dominic; mother, Lydia (John MacDonald) Pasher; father, Richie (Lisa Guthrie) Lewis; sister, Jaymee (Dan Burton) MacDonald; nephews, Landyn Worthingto­n and Daniel Burton; step-sister, Mary Gillis; step-brothers, Morgan and Dustin Guthrie; grandparen­ts, Allan (Debbie) Lewis; mother-in-law, Raylene Penney; father-in-law, Dennis Dube, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and many more extended family members.

Corey was predecease­d by his grandmothe­r, Vickie Lewis and maternal grandparen­ts, John and Catherine (Burneau) Pasher.

As per Corey’s wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. A private graveside service for the late Corey Lewis will take place in Resurrecti­on Cemetery, Sydney Forks, at a later date.

Donations in memory of Corey may be made through Pier Community Funeral Home to an Education Trust Fund for his six month old son, Dominic Dude–Lewis.

The family gives a special thank you to doctors, nurses, home care staff and friends for the care given to Corey during his time of need.

Funeral arrangemen­ts are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.
