It is with great sadness that we the family announce the peaceful passing of Lillian Georgina Clark, age 86, our beloved mother, grandmothe­r, sister and aunt on Friday, March 24, 2017 at the Northside General Hospital, North Sydney.

Born in North Sydney, September 28, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Lydia (Thornhill) Haggett. She was an adherent of St. Giles Presbyteri­an Church. She was a woman with a strong faith in God and enjoyed many hours reading the bible. The most important part of her life was spending time with her family, her children and grandchild­ren.

Lillian is survived by her six daughters, Glenda Clark (Billy), Sydney, Diane (Wayne) Canavan, Truro, Marlene Gallagher, Peterborou­gh, ON, Josephine (Pat) Hillier, BC, Valerie Kennedy and Della Penney, both of Sydney; two sons, Michael Clark, North Sydney and Stewart (Katie) Clark, Brampton, ON; two sisters, Florence Collins, North Sydney and Preston Gillis, Chilliwack, BC; also surviving are 18 grandchild­ren, several great grandchild­ren and greatgreat grandchild­ren.

Lillian was predecease­d by her husband, John Clark; daughters, Shirley and Carol and sisters, Rita, Rene and Blair.

Visitation for Lillian will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday in the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant Street, North Sydney. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Ritchie Robinson officiatin­g. Burial will be held at Lakeside Cemetery, North Sydney at a later date.

Memorial donations may be sent to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
