CAMPBELL, Roy Leonard ‘Len’

-

Dalem Lake

It is with heartfelt sadness we announce the passing of Len Campbell, age 75, loving husband, father, grandfather and brother on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.

Len grew up in Big Bras d’Or but moved to Toronto at a young age where he met his wife Marie (Howlett) and started his family. He returned to Cape Breton later in life and made his final home in Dalem Lake. He spent his life in the automotive industry as an Auto Trim Technician. He was a man who could fix anything and later got his designation as a small engine mechanic.

Len’s passion was his family. He loved nothing more than a hot summer day by the water, a cold beer in hand, sharing a laugh with his family or a day at the North Sydney Fireman’s Club sharing a drink and trading stories with his wonderful friends. He taught us all to love nature and to never miss an opportunity to share a laugh with the people you love.

Len will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, Marie; his two daughters, Linda and Arlene (Joe); his two grandchildren, Alex and Leah; his brothers, Lloyd, Jack (Diane), Don, Ross and sister, Corinne (Gary), along with his nieces and nephews and cherished friends.

There will be no visitation by request. A gathering to celebrate Len’s life will be held in July. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney.

In lieu of condolences the family asks that you raise a glass and make a toast to all the good times you shared with Len.

Online condolences may be sent to www.wjdooley.com.
