Doctor shortage needs to be addressed

There are a lot of Cape Bretoners who have been without doctors for some time now and little has been done to help them.

Now with the Liberals having called an election they are promising more doctors who no doubt will appear from thin air.

The doctors we do have here are all overworked and many are close to retiring. When that happens more people will be left in a helpless state.

We have lost specialists because of the way things are done here and who would blame them? There are not enough incentives being offered for them to stay or come here.

This is only going to end up as a seniors’ island and people will be left to die in their homes.

Shame on this government for making false promises to get elected.
