Our hearts are sad­dened as we re­port the loss of a sis­ter, aunt and dear friend Mary Cather­ine Kennedy (71); which oc­curred Wed­nes­day, May 10, 2017 at her late res­i­dence Seav­iew Manor.

She was a daugh­ter of the late An­gus Stephen and Jane (Quann) MacDon­ald. She was al­ways fo­cused on fam­ily; she walked ev­ery­where and cher­ished her an­i­mals, es­pe­cially Toby and Gin­ger.

Mary Cather­ine is sur­vived by son, Billy (Gena), Green­wood, NS; three grand­chil­dren, Brett, Mitchel and Tyler; sis­ters, Jane Cluett, Glace Bay and Sharon Bel­liveau, Lon­don, ON; brother, Jim, Toronto. She was the beloved aunt of An­nette and her chil­dren, Adrian and Alexis. She is also sur­vived by nephew, Al­bert (Tammy) and their chil­dren, Matthew and Ethan, and niece, Tammy Bel­liveau.

She was pre­de­ceased by her brother, ‘Bud’ and by many close rel­a­tives.

Cre­ma­tion has taken place un­der the di­rec­tion and care of Curry’s Fu­neral Home. A cel­e­bra­tion of life will be of­fered tomorrow (Fri­day) at 3 p.m. in the fu­neral home chapel, 775 Main St., Glace Bay.
