Cape Breton Post - - Obituaries/Religion/Games - Glace Bay

It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Marguerite Jobe, age 100 at the Glace Bay Hospital on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Glace Bay on February 15, 1917, she was the daughter of the late James Frazer and Annie Josephine (Holland) Pushie.

Marguerite was the last surviving member of her family. She was a devoted and beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her sons, Gilbert (Sadie), Ronald (Denise) and Francis (Kelly), eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; special niece, Donna Muise and her husband, Kenny.

Marguerite was a stay at home mom who loved her family dearly. She had many friends and neighbours who will miss her kind words and beautiful smile. Marguerite loved flowers, feeding the birds and she treated her pets like one of the family. A special thanks to the staff of the Glace Bay Hospital and Seaview Manor.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Clayton Jobe in 1978; sisters, Mary Pond, Audrey Parsons, Annie Ewanishawn; brother, Alex Pushie; grandson, Andrew Jobe and great-grandson, Eric Jobe.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Marguerite’s memory to the SPCA, Sydney.
