It is with heavy hearts that we, the family of Geraldeen Elaine Collins (nee Butler), announce her passing on Monday, May 15, 2017.

For over 40 years, Geraldeen enjoyed her nursing career at the Bay Medical Clinic and the Heavy Water Plant, as well as traveling throughout Cape Breton as an Enterostom­al Therapist. Geraldeen and Harold enjoyed visiting many locations around the world when she attended the E.T. World Conference­s.

Geraldeen is survived by her two children, daughter, Linda, Halifax and son, Eli “Al” (Sandra), Dartmouth; grandchild­ren, Jennifer and Jonathan and their mother, Donna; great-grandchild­ren, Yasmina and Layla; brother, Karl (Lois); sisters, Eleanor and Velma; brother-in-law, James “Jimmy” Collins; nieces; nephews and many friends, especially those in Cape Breton and the Netherland­s.

She was predecease­d by her husband, Harold and sisters, Noreen and Phyllis.

A celebratio­n of her life will be held at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Thursday, May 25, 2017 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Interment will take place at Forest Haven Memorial Gardens on Friday, May 26 at 2:30 p.m., with Rev. Dana Feltmate officiatin­g.
