It is with great sadness that we, the family of Margaret A. Morrison of Sydney, NS, announce her passing at the age of 88 at Cape Breton Regional Hospital (CBRH) in the early hours of May 24, 2017 due to complicati­ons of Alzheimer’s.

Survived by her daughters, Mary (Halifax), Lois (Mo) (Burlington, ON); grandchild­ren, Stephanie and Kirsten (Calgary), Jamila (Chicago), Jaron (Waterloo), Monita (Denny), Edmonton; great-grandchild­ren, Zayden (Calgary), Brooklyn, Daniella and Hunter (Edmonton); daughter-in-law, Jean (Dutch Brook, CB).

Predecease­d by husband, Howard; daughters, Amelia (Millie) of Calgary and Lorna of Dutch Brook, CB.

Sincerest Thank You to our special friends Nancy Antle, David Colbourne and Theresa MacNeil for their loving care especially during the last 10 years. Thank you to Dr. Archibald, Debbie Delaney, Continuing Care Cape Breton, the staff of Cape Breton Regional Hospital’s 3B, 4B and Palliative Care Units.

Special mention to Transit Cape Breton, Margaret suffered from a debilitati­ng condition resulting in being Legally Blind. Due to the kindness of the bus drivers, she lived with her condition quite independen­tly, which was so important to her. She traveled on the buses each day and always had lovely comments about the drivers and how they made her day while speaking with them.

Celebratio­n of Life to follow at a later date with private burial in St. Peter’s, NS.
