It is with heartfelt sadness that we the family announce the sudden passing of our loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister Ruby Jewells, on Sunday, May 21, 2017 with loving family at her side.

Born in Glace Bay she was the daughter of the late Barney and Jessie Cathcart of Port Morien.

Ma was employed with Bluewave Energy until her retirement in April 2016. She loved to play a good game of cards and darts. Ma was an avid reader (it didn’t have to be a good book for her to finish it), she also loved the Toronto Blue Jays and the Montreal Canadiens.

Ruby is survived by loving husband, Ernie and their dog, Baby; daughters, Tracey (Jerry), PEI and Tricia (George), ON; son, Ernie (Lisa) Donkin; grandchildren, Ernie, Matt, Evan and Jorja; great granddaughter, Sadie; sister, Jackie (Greg) MacInnis and brothers, Brian, Keith (Nadine) and Steward (Tanya).

Besides her parents she was predeceased by brother, Wayne.

In following Ma’s wishes, cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Patten Funeral Home. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
