PARSONS, Bernard William “Bernie”

Born May 10, 1964 in Sydney, Nova Scotia and passed away May 30, 2017 at the age of 53 from a cardiac event.

Graduating from Breton Education Centre in New Waterford in 1982, Bernie moved on to proudly serve in the Canadian Air Force as an Instrument Technician, and furthering his education at George Brown College. Bernie moved from Westmount to New Waterford, New Waterford to Toronto and Toronto to Windsor. Bernie was a loyal employee of Chrysler and a member of IBEW and CAW. Always brightenin­g everyone with his sense of humor, he will be remembered as an avid fisherman, golfer, baseball and Toronto Maple Leaf Fanatic. He loved gardening, playing darts with his best friend, Steve, his annual trips to Cape Breton, and spending time with his family.

Loving husband of Angela (nee Loro) with whom he shared 23 years of marriage. Cherished father of Andrew. Loving son of Virginia (nee MacDonald) and Theodore ‘Ted’ Parsons. Brother of Valerie (Brian) Gillis, Cheryl (Peter) Farrugia, and Patricia (Craig) DesRoche. Son-in-law of Claire Loro. Brother-in-law of Margaret Ann (Keith) Mills, Dominic Loro, Susan (Steven) Parsons, Tony (Lonita) Loro, Antoniette (Chris) Hillier, as well as several nieces and nephews. Predecease­d by his father-in-law, John ‘Beppo’ Loro and beloved puppy, Hope.

At Bernie`s request, cremation has taken place. Memorial visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 519-253-7234, 11677 Tecumseh Rd. East on Saturday, June 3, 2017 from 1-3 and 6 -8 p.m. A Prayer Service will be held at 6:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
