On June 9, 2017 Anita Annette Stubbert passed away with her loving family by her side.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, David; daughter, Jennifer (Chris) Couture, Edmonton; sons, David (Jen), Winnipeg, Robert, Winnipeg and Rodney, Edmonton, and sisters, Beatrice, Winnipeg and Rita, Hudson Bay, SK.

Annette was the youngest of 13 children born to John and Katherine (nee McKay) Chartrand, on April 12, 1956. Annette’s pride and joy were her grandchild­ren who she loved and cherished. She was known as Nana to David, Jania, Sidney, Kymberlee, Mattel, London, Hannah, Griffen, Corey, Brady and Mark.

Annette was a great cook. She loved preparing family meals for events like Christmas, New Years, Easter, etc. and would always welcome her sons and their families for a Sunday meal consisting of roasts in the winter and BBQ in the summer. She was outgoing and loved life. The honesty and sincerity she showed was genuine and she would help and give the shirt off her back to a friend in need.

Annette loved to entertain and would always welcome visitors over, taking great pride in ensuring they were comfortabl­e, and making them feel welcome and at home, even Dave’s hockey buddies late at night. Annette’s true love was her family. She would constantly talk about her husband, children and grandchild­ren to anybody who would listen, whether they wanted to or not. She would proudly display a picture of each and every one of them which she kept close to her heart at all times.

The family would like to thank all for the support extended to our family; your kindness has overwhelme­d us.

A celebratio­n of Annette’s life will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook St.
