Aleeta May Grosset passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at the Northside General Hospital, North Sydney with her loving family by her side singing hymns that were very special to her.

Born in Sydney August 3, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Clarence David and Margaret Blanche (Piercey) Foley, NF.

She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima parish, Sydney River. Aleeta was a devoted wife to her late husband, Roland and loving mother to her children; she loved cooking for family gatherings, enjoyed gardening and wildlife and travelling with her family. She found time to contribute to her community as a Brownie Leader of the Westmount troop.

She is survived by her children, Robert (Nancy), Louis (Heather), Barry (Laura), Shirley (Kirk), Keith (Dawn); 15 grandchild­ren; 23 great-grandchild­ren; brothers, Charles (Bev), Clarence (Evelyn) and Raymond (Patsy).

She was predecease­d by her husband, Roland Robert Grosset in 2012 and sisters, Shirley Moore, Carol Ann MacKinnon, Ethel Brenton and Eurinnia ‘Weenie’ Law.

Visitation for Mrs. Grosset will take place on Saturday, June 17 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at T. W. Curry Parkview Chapel.

Funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, June 19 at 2 p.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church with Rev. Duaine Devereaux officiatin­g. Interment in Resurrecti­on Cemetery, Sydney Forks.

The family would like to send thanks to Dr. Stacy MacDonald, all the nursing staff on 4 West at the Northside General Hospital along with the KOC North Sydney Hospice Society.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the CB Hospice Palliative Care Society, KOC Northside Hospice Society or Canadian Cancer Society.

Today is the saddest day of our lives, the angels came in full flight, to take our mother away, even though we wanted her to stay.

They said they were sent from God above to take her to the man she loved.
