Seniors win awards
In the left photo, Minnie Piercy, left, president of the North Sydney Seniors and Pensioners Club, accepts the Nelson Muise President’s Award from Nelson Muise during the Cape Breton Council of Seniors and Pensioners annual general meeting on June 7. The award, which was also won by the North Sydney club last year, is given to the club who most benefit seniors. In the right photo, Stan Drake, middle, and Hila Drake, right, are shown accepting the Danny Yakimchuk Vice President’s Award from Clotilda Yakimchuk during the same meeting. The award is given to a male and female who most benefit seniors.
