Cemetery cleanup planned for later this month

SYDNEY MINES — The St. Joseph’s St. Mary’s Cemetery Society will begin the annual cleanup of its cemeteries in Sydney Mines later this month. The society says family and loved ones of those buried in those cemeteries are being asked to remove all items that interfere with lawn maintenance – including lights, wreaths and other keepsakes – be removed no later than June 23. Any items interfering with maintenance of the cemeteries after that date will be discarded.
