BOUDREAU, Gerard E.

-

We are sad to announce the passing of Gerard Etienne Boudreau on June 18, 2017 in Phoenix, AZ after a courageous battle with cancer; his family was by his side.

Gerard was born on December 26, 1954 in Cheticamp, Nova Scotia, and lived his young life in Victoria Mines and New Waterford, Nova Scotia. As an avid sports fan, he loved hockey, NFL football, baseball and golf. He played minor league hockey in Cape Breton then moved to Kimberley to play Junior B with the Kimberley Knights; he was a rugged d-man who liked to rough it up. After several years in Vancouver, Bellingham and Seattle, he met his soulmate and love of his life, Teri. They were married in Waikoloa, Hawaii after having moved to Phoenix, AZ. A mutual passion, they appreciated music; in the early 90’s Gerard had learned to play the mandolin and Teri started learning to play the banjo. Together, they loved bluegrass and country music; they would travel in their motorhome enjoying music festivals and camping. Gerard spent his last years in Phoenix with his wife enjoying the beautiful sun and bountiful golf.

Gerard is predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Genevieve Boudreau, and his brothers, Blaise and Cyril Boudreau.

Gerard leaves to mourn his wife, Teri Boudreau; his step son, David Erik Miller and step daughter, Nicole Marie Miller; his brothers, Arthur (Joanne), Jim (Tara), Wilfred (Vera), Basil, Teles (Delayne) and Paul Boudreau; sister, Lorette (Charlie) Campbell, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Family service will be scheduled for a later date.
