ER closure announced

GLACE BAY — The emergency department at the Glace Bay Hospital will close today at 6 a.m. and reopen Wednesday at 7 a.m. The emergency room will close again Wednesday at 3 p.m. and reopen Friday at 7 a.m. These closures are due to the unavailability of doctors to cover the shifts. Anyone with an emergency is advised to call 911 or go to the nearest open emergency department.
