We re­gret to an­nounce the pass­ing of our dear brother, Den­nis Cyril Hardy on July 31, 2017 at his home in In­go­nish.

Born in In­go­nish on De­cem­ber 24, 1950 he was the son of the late Levi and Chris­tine (Mac­Dougall) Hardy.

Den­nis worked as a fish­er­man for most of his work­ing life, un­til later years when he worked in the oil fields in Al­berta un­til his re­tire­ment. Den­nis loved spend­ing time with his fam­ily. He was a mem­ber of Le­gion Branch 91. When Den­nis wasn’t play­ing darts with his friends, you could find him cheer­ing on his fa­vorite Hockey team the Montreal Cana­di­ens.

Den­nis is sur­vived by sis­ters, Glo­ria (Stephen, de­ceased) Whitty, In­go­nish, Rho­dena (Gor­don) MacLeod, In­go­nish, Brenda (Frank) Dupont, Al­lis­ton, Ont., Dar­lene (Garth) Kapel, Sar­nia, Ont; broth­ers, Rick(Brenda, de­ceased) Hardy, Lake Echo, NS, Dar­rell (Va­lerie) Hardy, In­go­nish, along with 15 nieces and neph­ews.

Be­sides his par­ents he was pre­de­ceased by, brother, Tru­man Mac­Dougall, In­go­nish and sis­ter, Glo­ria Hardy in in­fancy.

There will be no vis­i­ta­tion, a Fu­neral Mass to cel­e­brate Den­nis’s life will be held Friday, Au­gust 4, 2017 at 11 a.m. in St. Pe­ter’s Church In­go­nish, with Fr. Lazarus Guria of­fi­ci­at­ing.
