It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the passing of our mother, grandmothe­r & great-grandmothe­r, Anna McDonald, age 90 at Harboursto­ne Enhanced Care Facility on August 18, 2017.

Born in PEI she was a daughter of the late Dennis and Christine (Ryan) Collins. She was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 12; Steelworke­rs and Sydney Pensioners club as well as Club 55.

She is survived by daughters, Virginia (Bob) Crane, Gail (Tony) Doucette, Alecia (Pete) Brand, Sherry (Ken) MacAuley; sons, Wade Campbell, Lowell Campbell, Blaine (Leeann) Campbell; brother, Charles Collins; 16 grandchild­ren and 20 great-grandchild­ren.

Besides her parents, she was predecease­d by a child in infancy; husband of 60 years, Alex Campbell; as well as second husband, Mike McDonald (fmr Chief of Police/Sydney); brother, Eddie Ryan; sister, Dottie.

Memorial Service will take place 2 p.m., Thursday in the SW Chant & Son Funeral Home, Nancy Latham –Whitney D.L.M. officiatin­g. Interment at Resurrecti­on Cemetery at a later date.

Donations to the Alzheimer Society or the charity of one’s choice would be appreciate­d.
