MOHAMMED, Geoffrey Haniff

-

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our Beloved, Geoffrey Haniff Mohammed, at the Halifax Infirmary, in the arms of his soul mate.

Geoff was born in Halifax, N.S. on March 7, 1969.

A graduate of Dalhousie University and TUNS in Halifax, N.S., Geoff was an Industrial Engineer employed as Quality Manager of Fleetway Inc. Halifax, N.S. Geoff was an amazingly dedicated and devoted family man. His every decision in life centered on his Family. Geoff’s greatest joy was being home, just spending quality time with his girls. He will be remembered as a kind, caring man with a strong sense of duty and unwavering moral compass. He showed this often and his last gift to others was organ donation. Geoff loved playing his guitar, playing jokes with his girls, teasing the Mama, and driving us crazy with jokes of his Led Zepplin music and Star Trek shows, and especially playing baseball with his girls. Geoff loved many types of music but came to love listening to Celtic music, especially on our easy Sunday mornings over coffee and just being together.

Geoff was predeceased by his father, Haniff Mohammed and his parents-in-law, Mona Walker and Ian Walker Sr. Geoff leaves to mourn his cherished wife, Lisa Walker-Mohammed; his daughters, Emma Grace (his Punga Bear) and Sarah Elizabeth (his little Cushy Monkey). Also left to mourn, his mother, Norisha ( Hosein) Mohammed; sisters, Jenifer Harris and Susan Kalliechran (Val) and several nieces and nephews. Geoff will also be sorely missed by many extended family and friends.

A special Thank you to all of the team involved in Geoff’s care during this time. To those who spent the last days with us, Dr. Tan; Geoff’s amazing nurses who showed Geoff and our family such compassion and care, Thank you!

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Geoff’s name to the Kidney Foundation of Canada (Atlantic).

Services for Geoff will be held at S.W. Chant and Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney.

Visitation will be Thursday, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. A celebration of Geoff’s life will be Friday at 11a.m. in the funeral home Chapel.

Until we meet again. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www. chantfuneralhome.ca.
