With heavy hearts, we regretfull­y announce the sudden passing of our loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and niece, Sharon on September 7, 2017, at the age of 61, at the Halifax Infirmary. Sharon was a fun loving person who had a great sense of humor. Her wit brought so much joy to those who knew her. Her whole world was with her husband Bill and daughter Joanne.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Bill Pitts; her daughter and son-in-law, Joanne (Mark) Boutilier; sister, Emily (Glendon) Burdge; brothers, David (Jenny), Eddie (Anne), Darrel (Michelle), Donald, Myles and Michael (Michelle), and sister-in-law, Marion. Also left to mourn is her mother-inlaw, Anne E. (MacDonald) Pitts; sisters-in-law, Eileen Ross and Margaret Pitts-Lesnick (Kim); brother-in-law, Greg; aunts, Jenny (Jim), Kay and Mary; uncle, John (Rosina), also several nieces and nephews, and numerous cousins.

Sharon was predecease­d by her parents, Myles and Jeanette (Doyle) Tighe; brother, Blaise; sisters, Carol and Joanne; nephew, Vincent; father-in-law, Bill Pitts Sr.; sister-in-law, Anne Marie Jackson, and brother-inlaw, Kenny.

Cremation has taken place under the care of the Cole Harbour Funeral Home and Crematoriu­m. As per Sharon’s wishes, a private celebratio­n of her life will be held for the immediate family only at a later date.
