HALIFAX — Former RichmondCape Breton Liberal MLA Michel Samson has joined the firm Cox & Palmer’s Halifax office as counsel. “We are delighted to welcome Michel to our firm,” said Kevin Latimer, managing partner of Cox & Palmer’s Halifax office. “Michel’s national and international experience in energy, fishery, Aboriginal affairs and trade matters will be a tremendous asset, further enhancing our ability to serve our clients.” Samson, who narrowly lost the May provincial election to PC candidate Alana Paon, said the transition to Cox & Palmer was the right decision for him and he is eager to start his new position. “Joining Cox & Palmer is a logical step for me,” said Samson. “It is a top-tier firm with a reputation for providing outstanding legal service. I am looking forward to sharing my experience with clients and delivering results.” Samson, a bilingual graduate of Dalhousie Law School, began his law practice in Port Hawkesbury before spending 19 years as an MLA.
