Atlantic Lottery outage planned over weekend

MONCTON — Atlantic Lottery products and services will be unavailabl­e at retail or alc.ca beginning today at 11:30 p.m. and continuing until midday Monday, lottery officials announced Friday. The outage will lead to changes that promise new experience­s to players at the corporatio­n’s 3,000 plus retail locations, online and on mobile devices.

When the system returns to normal, there will be new websites, new apps, new draw games and online games, new player services and new analytics and tools. During the outage, lottery draw games and PRO-LINE will not be available. Scratch tickets and Breakopen products will still be available for purchase. The main website, alc.ca, will not be available. No tickets can be validated or prizes paid. Winning numbers will be posted at AskAway.ca but won’t be available at retail outlets or alc.ca.

Everything should return to normal by midday Monday.
