At­lantic Lot­tery out­age planned over week­end

MONC­TON — At­lantic Lot­tery prod­ucts and ser­vices will be un­avail­able at re­tail or alc.ca be­gin­ning to­day at 11:30 p.m. and con­tin­u­ing un­til mid­day Mon­day, lot­tery of­fi­cials an­nounced Fri­day. The out­age will lead to changes that prom­ise new ex­pe­ri­ences to play­ers at the cor­po­ra­tion’s 3,000 plus re­tail lo­ca­tions, on­line and on mo­bile de­vices.

When the sys­tem re­turns to nor­mal, there will be new web­sites, new apps, new draw games and on­line games, new player ser­vices and new an­a­lyt­ics and tools. Dur­ing the out­age, lot­tery draw games and PRO-LINE will not be avail­able. Scratch tick­ets and Breakopen prod­ucts will still be avail­able for pur­chase. The main web­site, alc.ca, will not be avail­able. No tick­ets can be val­i­dated or prizes paid. Win­ning num­bers will be posted at AskAway.ca but won’t be avail­able at re­tail out­lets or alc.ca.

Ev­ery­thing should re­turn to nor­mal by mid­day Mon­day.
