Bethany MacLean is charged with causing unnecessary suffering to an animal and with failing to provide suitable and adequate food, water and shelter.

The charge was filed after MacLean was alleged to have left a dog inside of a vehicle for an undetermined amount of time and failing to provide the dog with adequate food and water.

The remains were sent to pathology for necropsy. MacLean is now scheduled to enter pleas to the charges Sept. 21.
