It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our Dad, Murray Kerr, which occurred at Victoria County Memorial Hospital, Baddeck on Sept. 9, 2017.

He was born at St. Ann’s, Cape Breton on Jan. 8, 1941 to parents, Charles and Catherine (Oakley) Kerr.

Murray will be remembered by his sons, Cecil (Deanne) Gillams, N.L, Kimball (Tammy), St. Lawrence, N.L.; his daughter, Mary Alana (Dan), Crossfield, Alta; grandchild­ren, Kurtis, Charles, Nicky, Emma and Evan; sisters, Dorothy Hart, Baddeck, Kathy Kerr, Halifax, Connie Kerr, Baddeck and brothers, Carlie and Cecil, Baddeck also many nieces and nephews. Besides his parent Murray was predecease­d by his wife, Hazel Joan (MacDonald).

The last number of his working years Murray worked for the Cape Breton Regional Library Bookmobile bringing the enjoyment of books to many people.

Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m., Sat. Oct. 7, 2017 at St. Michael’s Church, Baddeck with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Memorial donations in memory of the late Murray Kerr may be made to Polio Nova Scotia Foundation, Baddeck Hospital Palliative Care or a charity of choice.
