ALMON, Roy

Businessman Roy Almon, 76, of Glace Bay, passed away September 14, 2017 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.

Born in Glace Bay on January 26, 1941, Roy was the son of the late Joseph and Claudia (Oldford) Almon.

Roy is survived by his wife, Karen; his son, Roy and daughters, Colleen (Andrew) Johnston and Coralee ( Robert) Burrows; as well as grandchildren, Eric and Alex Almon, David and Bryan Johnston, Devan, Emily, and Hannah Burrows. He is also survived by his sisters, Valerie Ferguson and Joanne Almon; and his brothers, Wayne and Joel.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Patten Funeral Home and a private family service will follow at a later date. Donations may be made to the Diabetes Association.
