Family tree info sought

-

I am working on a very exciting project to determine all the Curran, Fewer, Ricketts and Ryan families now living in Nova Scotia; and trace back their family trees to determine how many of them originally migrated to Nova Scotia and how many originally landed in Newfoundland.

I am a direct descendant of Newfoundland as my Ricketts’s ancestors are from Knight’s Cove. I decided to take on this project right after my father, William Ricketts, passed away in November 2014. Since then I have traveled to Newfoundland quite a few times and have discovered my extended family because of writing each Ricketts in Newfoundland a letter and publishing it in each newspaper. So far with my response in Newfoundland we have been able to identify four separate Ricketts family trees.

You can help me with my research by sharing any knowledge about your Curran, Fewer, Ricketts and Ryan ancestors. No information is too small. I am asking for parent’s names, grandparents, great grandparents and great-great grandparents as far back as you can remember. I would need full name, birthdate, place of birth, date of death, place of death form each. I have been researching this extensively but am trying to locate the different families and if they arrived in Nova Scotia or migrated from Newfoundland. Without your help, I am not able to connect the families.

Please send me a note either to my email address jricker118@aol.com or I can be reached at 914-3254998.

This research project is a tremendous opportunity for all of us to make discoveries about our ancestors, and to learn how many different trees there are for all the names. If you are interested, I will keep you informed of all my exciting discoveries. I look forward to hearing back from you and working with you to help trace the trees.

Thank you in advance for any information you can provide for this Curran, Fewer, Ricketts and Ryan project. Jennifer Ricketts Port Chester, NY
