LOCKE, William Thomas (Bill)

-

It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Bill at home. He was born in Glace Bay on December 8, 1946, son of the late Annice (MacDonald) and Thomas William Locke.

He loved swimming, water skiing and boating on the Mira River, spending time with “the boys” at Tim Hortons, and going on many trips with his friends to warmer climates.

Bill is survived by his son, Evan Thomas Locke, and daughter-in-law, Leigha, and his grandchildren, Cameron, Thatcher and Ellie. Also survived by his sister, Coleen Locke-MacDonald in Glace Bay; his friend and companion, Diane Yokuboski and her family, who were his second family; Michelle and Paul McPhee, and their family, Teagan, Payton and Ty, “B’s” kids.

Bill was predeceased by his loving sister, Myrna M. Miller, and husband, Clarence ‘Butch’.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or funeral at Bill’s request.

A special thank you to very good friend Leo Livingston for his many, many visits, Charlie and Mary MacLennan, and John and Allison Treige for being the very best of neighbours. It would be impossible to list everyone without missing one and all.

A very special thanks to Dr. Ley, Dr. Brake, etc., all EHS and all hospital workers that were so professional in caring for Bill. “Rest in Peace.”
