Drinking improves

Water isn’t so bad after all

- Kathy Golemiec

Hey there, it’s me, Kathy. How was your week?

My week was OK. My pain level was a six and most of that was in my wrist. My head is still getting headaches and my eyes are still seeing black spots. But I have been trying my hardest to drink water.

I’m doing a pretty good job at it too. I use the Brita filter and bottled water but actually your tap water should be just as safe. That’s what we are paying for. There are places you can get it tested. I’m not sure if the hospital does it or not, and yes there will probably be a cost to have it done.

Dad and Janet were over this week to go to the flea market – I finally got to go. I will be there this week too it seems.

I never got a call from the doctors yet to see what they are going to do with my brain. The doctors are having their meeting this week so as soon as they know what they are going to do with me, then I will going to Halifax to get the operation done.

I am not scared of going. I’m scared of waiting too long in case it starts to grow and spreads. I don’t want that to happen.

I got Thunder a new coat at Value Village – well, new to him – and it looked so small until I got it home. Then it looked huge on him.

The VON started coming this week. They make sure I’m taking my medicine correctly and on time and they also take my blood pressure. It’s always been low.

I still nap in the afternoon on some days. When my ears start ringing real bad they sound like high voltage power lines.

I have a couple of friends who need your prayers and good vibes. I want you to send prayers out to Ontario to my sonin-law’s grandfather – he really needs your prayers now,

and so do his grandmother and my friend Doris to get through these hard times. Thank you in advance because I know you will. I pray right along with you and also for all my readers so your stress or troubles you may be going through will be gone soon, or you will figure a way to get out of your problem.

Tip of the week: If there are a lot of people in a hot tub that you are thinking of going in, don’t. There will be too much bacteria in the water and where the water is warm the bacteria is growing at a very fast rate. And when you get out of the pool or hot tub make sure you take a shower before you get dressed and dry off really well. When you get home wash your bathing suit out by hand and hang it to dry – it will last you a longer time and the germs will hopefully be gone.

Thunder got his second needle this week. I had a hard time holding him when I saw the needle, but we got through it. He has to get another one next month. He has such a nice temperament; he is nine months old and he has not tried to bite me once. We are having a little trouble with the house training but it’s coming along. Everything is so much bigger than him that he is scared of the flowers and they are the groundcover ones. He likes to nap a lot: everything wears him out. After all he is only a baby. He is still 6.9 pounds.

My weight is gone up. I’m making sure I eat and drink the water. I didn’t know water weighed that much.

Have a great week all, and yes, the giant mosquitoes are out. I don’t think they bite but I can run faster than them.
