It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lily MacLeod of Framboise Intervale on Saturday, September 30, 2017, at the Cove Guest Home, Sydney.

Born August 31, 1935, in Framboise Intervale, she was the daughter of the late Norman ‘Klondike’ and Katie Ann (MacKillop) MacLeod.

Lily was a member of St. Andrew’s Presbyteri­an Church, Framboise. Upon retiring from the Department of Highways, she was an active member of the Framboise Seniors Club and the Community Hall until her sickness.

Lily is survived by her three sons, Norman Alex (Jean), Philip (Sarah Jane) and Jackie (Suzann); seven grandchild­ren, Leah (Ben), Adam (Stephanie), Jo-Ann (Chris), Eileen, Justin, Emma and Coltin, and two great-grandchild­ren, Logan and Ryan. She is also survived by her brother, Ramsey (Ann) MacLeod; sister, Pearl MacDonald, and many nieces and nephews.

She was predecease­d by her husband, Angus Archie MacLeod; brothers, Malcolm Alex, Johnnie, Charlie Angus and Norman D., and sisters, Mary Katie, Margaret and Dolena.

By her request, there will be no visitation. Funeral service will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyteri­an Church, Framboise on Tuesday, October 3 at 11 a.m., with Rev. Corrie Stewart officiatin­g. Interment in Framboise Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
