It is with great sad­ness that we an­nounce the pass­ing of Alice Marie De­laney on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 sur­rounded by her lov­ing fam­ily.

Born on Au­gust 18, 1943 in Syd­ney, Alice was the daugh­ter of the late Ray­mond De­laney and Mil­dred (Whalen) (De­laney) Ped­dle.

Alice lived a sim­ple life. Her faith was strong and she at­tended church reg­u­larly. Alice will be re­mem­bered by fam­ily and friends for be­ing very lov­ing and kind hearted.

Alice is sur­vived by her brother, David in Hamil­ton; sis­ter, Anne Madore in Oshawa; sis­ter and lov­ing care­taker, Bar­bara Mom­bour­quette in Syd­ney; her lov­ing com­pan­ion, Ron­nie Rice; as well as many nieces and neph­ews.

Be­sides her par­ents, Alice was pre­de­ceased by her broth­ers, Jimmy ‘Slim’, Bernie, Kevin, Pat and her dear sis­ter, Mary Theresa Mom­bour­quette.

As per Alice’s wishes there will be no vis­i­ta­tion. Memo­rial Mass will be cel­e­brated on Saturday, Oct.14, 2017 at 10 a.m. in Holy Redeemer Church, Whit­ney Pier with Fr. Paul Mur­phy of­fi­ci­at­ing. Fol­low­ing the Mass, light re­fresh­ments will be served in the fu­neral home re­cep­tion area at the Pier Com­mu­nity Fu­neral Home, 1092 Vic­to­ria Rd. (en­trance on Church Street). In­ter­ment will take place in Res­ur­rec­tion Ceme­tery, Syd­ney Forks.

Spe­cial Thanks is given to the all the health­care work­ers who were in­stru­men­tal in Alice’s care over the past few months. The fam­ily also wants to thank the staff of the Pier Com­mu­nity Fu­neral Home.
