It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Mary MacEachern age 95 of Glace Bay. Mary passed away at her residence on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 with family by her side.

Born in Glace Bay, Mary was the daughter of the late Hugh Angus and Elizabeth (MacKinnon) MacEachern.

Mary was a member of St. Anne’s Church and an active member of the CWL. She was employed with the Cape Breton Developmen­t Corporatio­n retiring after 45 years of service.

Mary is survived by her loving and caring nephews, Alan (Lynn), Stephen (Shelley); her niece, Mary (Walter) and many other nieces and nephews who will miss their Aunt Mary.

Mary is the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She is predecease­d by brothers, Steve (Margie), John (Mary); sister, Kaye (Hector) Riga.

In honouring Mary’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place under the care and guidance of Curry’s Funeral Home, Glace Bay.

A funeral mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at St. Anne’s Church, Glace Bay with Fr. Anthony O’Connor officiatin­g. A luncheon will follow in the foyer of the church. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Donations in Mary’s memory may be made to Cape Breton Palliative Care Service.
