Drugs seized

Three people have been charged with drug and weapon offences after Cape Breton Regional Police seized more than $40,000 in illegal drugs at a home in North Sydney.

The trio was arrested Wednesday and only one has been released on conditions. Bail hearings are set for Monday for the two other accused.

Charged are Allan Gregory Capson, 22, of View Street, who is facing three counts of possession for the purpose of traffickin­g, six counts of breaching court orders, and single counts of possession of a prohibited weapon, uttering a threat, assaulting a police officer and mischief.

He is scheduled to have a bail hearing Monday.

Also charged is Christian Master Tracz, 24, whose court file lists addresses in North Sydney and Lower Sackville. He is facing three counts of possession for the purpose of traffickin­g and possession of a prohibited weapon.

He is also set for a bail hearing Monday.

The third accused, Erika Capson, 20, of View Street, is charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of traffickin­g and possession of a prohibited weapon.

She was released on conditions and is to return to provincial court Nov. 22 to enter pleas.

Police report seizing a large quantity of cocaine with an estimated street value of $40,000 in addition to marijuana, prescripti­on pills and cash.
