It is with profound sadness the family of Diane Theresa (Smith) Cuff, daughter of the late Perino (Pordena) Smith and Ida Belle (Petrie) Smith, announce her passing on Friday, November 3, 2017, at the age of 72, at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre in Amherst. Diane passed away after a long courageous battle with MS, on her own terms surrounded by family.

Diane was a wonderful woman who touched the hearts of everyone she met. She inspired everyone in the way she dealt with her illness day to day with dignity and grace. She will be remembered as a devoted, caring, loving wife, mother, grandmothe­r, sister, aunt and friend.

Diane is survived by her loving husband, James Cuff; son, David (Gwen Price); daughter, Carolyn Coffin; grandchild­ren, Chase, Logan and Cheyenne; her sisters, Patricia (Charles) Fry, Angelina Mallory and Viola (Bennie) Bartlett, and brother, Gino (Karen) Spinazzola, also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Diane was also predecease­d by her sister, Elizabeth Smith in infancy, and Terry Campbell, also brothers-in-law, James Campbell and Fred Mallory.

Visitation will be held 2-4 and 7-9 Tuesday in the S.W. Chant and Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St. Memorial service will take place Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the United Heritage Church (corner of Charlotte and Townsend Street), Rev. Rosemary Godin officiatin­g.
