CAPERS NET FIRST WIN

Cape Breton Capers picked up their first victory of the season with 55-48 win over Saint Mary’s Huskies in women’s university basketball action, Saturday. The Capers (1-3) were paced MacKenzee Ryan’s 15 points, while fellow Cape Bretoners Alison Keough and Hannah Brown chipped in with 13 and 12 points respectively. After the women’s match, the men Capers lost 100-80 to the Huskies. Indiana Retondo was top Cape Breton scorer with 16 points, while veteran Kyle Hankins chipped in with 15.
