Sydney Mines

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, husband, father and fantastic uncle, Ken Boutilier, 65, on Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.

Born in North Sydney on July 17, 1952, he was the son of the late John and Mae (MacDonald) Boutilier.

Ken had such a warm and fun-loving nature. He loved to make everyone laugh. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

He worked for many years in Calgary at Univar. He had a very good working and social relationship with the people he worked with.

Ken is survived by his wife, Adele; son, David; sisters, Theresa (Daniel Nicholson), and Beverly; twin brother, Keith (Joan), and Jackie (Dale). Also left to mourn are his nieces and nephews, Verna (Paul Fraser), Kelly (Duane Collins), Nicole (Matt Cormier), Jay and Dana; brothersin-law, Vaughn (Paula), and Brian; special friends, Sandi and Debbie Parks; and his very special friends, Harvey and Bonnie Wilson, who he thought of as his extended family.

Besides his parents, Ken was predeceased by an infant sister, Deanne.

At Ken’s request, there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. A private burial ceremony will take place at a later date. Words of comfort may be forwarded to his family at www.jmjobesfuneralhome.com.

What we keep in memory is ours unchanged forever.
