Get into the festive spirit by spending a little time with the Mira Players.

The Mira Players present for their Christmas production, “Sorry! Wrong Chimney!” by Jack Sharkey and Leo W. Sears and directed by Kelly Lynn Kirk.

The Players excel at this kind of farce full of mistaken identities, off-target hypnotism and outlandish characters straight off the naughty list.

The Wednesday show at 7 p.m. is a performance only event with a $10 admission. The performances on Friday, Dec. 1 and Saturday, Dec. 2 are $25 tickets and come with a full holiday-style meal. The December performances start at 6 p.m. and doors open at 5:30 p.m. All performances are at the Marion Bridge Community Hall.

Tickets are available by calling Tracey Hillard at 902-577-1828 and are also available at Mullin’s Rite Stop (cash accepted) and Church’s Supermarket (etransfer only).

The Highland Arts Theatre in downtown Sydney opened its latest musical production “She Loves Me” on Wednesday. It runs nightly until at 8 p.m. until Sunday.

The 2016 Broadway revival production of this show that premiered in 1964, with book by Joe Masteroff, lyrics by Sheldon Harnick and music by Jerry Bock, won two Tony Awards.

The HAT production is directed by Wesley J. Colford with musical direction by Barb Stetter.

Amalia and Georg, bickering co-workers in a perfume shop, unknowingly become pen pals and, of course, equally unknowingly fall madly in love with each other through their correspondence. And to make it more irresistible, the play is set during the Christmas season.

Tickets are $40 for adults and $25 for youth and are available at the HAT box office, 40 Bentinck St., at the lobby box office an hour before performance and online at www.highlandartstheatre.com/.
