TRUCKAIR, Elsie Josephine

It’s with heavy hearts that we, the family, announce the passing of Elsie Josephine Truckair on November 22, 2017 at the New Waterford Hospital with loving family at her side.

Born in Donkin she was the daughter of the late Frank and Annabelle (Boutilier) MacLeod.

Elsie was employed as a Nurses Aide at both the old General Hospital and the new General Hospital. Mom had a great sense of humour and was very generous to everyone she met.

Elsie is survived by husband, Lambert Truckair; daughter, Brenda (Roger) Gosselin; sons, Joe (Diane) and Wesley (Helen); daughter-in-law, Esther; 12 grandchild­ren and 11 greatgrand­children.

Besides parents Elsie was predecease­d by son, Bob; brothers, Jim, Clarence, Bobby, Sammy and Charlie; sisters, Beattie, Winnifred and Dot.

There will be no visitation; cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Patten Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 11 a.m. in St. Mary’s Anglican Church Glace Bay with Rev. Vernon Reid officiatin­g.

Interment will take place in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens at a later date.

Donations may be made to St. Mary’s Anglican Church or Palliative Care.
