It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Bernard Ingraham, 53. Bernie passed away at his residence on Wednesday, November 29, 2017. Born in North Sydney, he was the son of Bernard and the late Joan Marie (Wall) Ingraham.

In his earlier years, Bernie obtained his pilot license. He also worked for the labor union in constructi­on which involved working on the pipe line and the confederat­ion bridge. Bernie also enjoyed working on cars. He loved animals, especially his dog, Kiki.

Surviving is the love of his life and best friend, Amie Kuta; daughters, Nichole and Mary Jackson, both of Florence; son, Bernie Jr., Ont., and his father, Bernard Ingraham.

Besides his mother, Bernie was also predecease­d by his grandparen­ts.

There will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of V.J. McGillivra­y Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
