SYDNEY — Local band Fire Valley Fire will be releasing their debut album, “Bring An Army” on Saturday.

The show was originally slated for Nov. 18 but was cancelled due to an illness.

The party begins at 9 p.m. and runs until midnight at The Upstairs, 44 Ferry St. Special guests include Ian MacDougall of the Tom Fun Orchestra and The Space Age from Halifax. Admission is $10 at the door and it will be a 19 and older event.

The band hails from Sydney with its members having deep roots in the local rock scene. “Bring An Army” was released in September and represents almost two years of writing and playing before it was recorded and produced by Jamie Foulds at Soundpark Studios.
