Anne Shirley Savage aged 76, of Albert Bridge passed away Thursday, December 7, 2017, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, surrounded by loved ones.

Born in Dutch Brook, she was the daughter of the late James and Barbara (LeVatte) MacSween.

She was a recent member of Club 55, Timeout and the library’s knitting club. She was a former volunteer of the Whitney Pier Youth Club. Anne was known as a master of crafts. She previously owned her own store using her passion of crafting as a successful business. If she wasn’t preparing for a craft show, volunteeri­ng, playing cards or swimming, you could find her making hats for premature babies or quilts to donate to families in need. She loved being an active member in the community.

Anne is survived by her husband, Brian “Bert”; daughter, Kathy (Frank) MacDonald, Albert Bridge; sons, Brian (Nancy), Halifax, Stephen (Dierdre), Lloydminst­er, AB and Edward (John), Halifax; sister, Carol Korinetz, Saskatoon; grandchild­ren, Michelle, Amanda, Stephanie, Jamie, Samantha, and Nathan; great-grandchild­ren, Logan, Haley and Hadley.

She was predecease­d by her sister, Betty Smith and brothers, Bill and Ronnie.

Visitation will be held at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Saturday, December 9, 2017 from 7-9 p.m.

Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Sunday at 5 p.m., with Rev. Dana Feltmate officiatin­g. Interment in Alfred Smith Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to charity of choice.
