• The process to move Miners Memorial Playground began following the closure of St. Joseph’s school in June 2016.

• The Save Miners Memorial Playground committee initially thought the project would take six months but that wasn’t the case.

• The committee began securing funds to move the playground from St. Joseph’s to Jubilee Elementary School in June 2016.

• The committee along with local businesses and community members secured the $30,000 to move the playground.

• The playground was moved and installed at Jubilee Elementary School at the end of November.
