Two charged with attempted murder
SYDNEY — A 37-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman have been charged with two counts of attempted murder after an incident on Saturday.
Cape Breton Regional Police Service responded to a call at 5:43 a.m. to a home on Upper Prince Street after receiving a weapons complaint. Shots were fired but no one was injured.
At 11:30 p.m. police responded to a disturbance call in Whitney Pier. When they arrived, police found the suspect from the Upper Prince Street call.
Aaron Curtis Mickey of Sydney was arrested along with an unnamed woman who is also from Sydney.
Both are charged with break and enter with intent, two counts of attempted murder using a firearm, four counts of aggravated assault, one count of careless use of a firearm, two counts of intent to commit an indictable offense with face masked and one count of failing to comply with undertaking.
