DAWE, Roy Frederick

It is with great sadness that we, the family of Roy Dawe, announce his passing December 21, 2017 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.

Born June 17, 1953, he was a son of the late Gordon Dawe and Eliza Vouden.

Roy worked for the Cape Breton Housing Authority for 20 years. He was an animal lover who enjoyed the company of his fur babies.

Roy is survived by his loving wife, Donna, and son, David (Mindy). He will also be missed by his sister, Ann, and nephews, Gordie (Michelle), Garrett (Joanne), Braden, Kail, Ethan, Chris and Ben. He is also survived by nieces, Jolene, Jenna and Hailey.

Visitation will be held 2-4 and 7-9 in the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home. A Celebration of Roy’s life will take place Thursday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Sheldon Chant to officiate.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetic Association.
