It is with heavy hearts that we the family, announce the passing of Margaret Ann Taylor, age 59, on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at the CB Regional Hospital after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Born January 29, 1958 in Sydney Mines, she was the daughter of the late Jerome and Bernetta (Neil) Forrest.

Margaret spent most of her life as a caregiver to family and friends. She loved to cook, bake and welcoming people into her kitchen for tea and something to eat.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchild­ren and her dog, Porsha.

Margaret is survived by her longtime companion, Paul Taylor; by her children, Joseph Serroul (Jenelle), Little Pond, Kathleen Serroul (Johnny), Bras d’Or; step daughter, Nicole Burns (Matthew); special grand daughter, Candace; eleven grandchild­ren and seven greatgrand­children. Also surviving are her siblings, Elizabeth (Brian), Doris (Gary), Georgina (Benny) and Jerome (Donna).

Besides her parents she was predecease­d by a sister, Mary and brother, Billy.

Visitation for Margaret will be 7–9 p.m. Friday in the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney.

A funeral mass will be held 10 a.m. Saturday from St. Joseph Church, North Sydney with Rev. Patrick O’Neill officiatin­g.

Burial will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to An Cala Palliative Care unit of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
