It is with heartfelt sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Colette Marie (Farrell) Morrison, age 67, loving wife, mother, grandmothe­r and sister, on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at the Victoria County Memorial Hospital in Baddeck, after a long battle with cancer.

Born in North Sydney on May 2, 1950, Colette was the daughter of Samuel and Anne Elizabeth Farrell. Colette was a faithful member of St. Michael’s Church in Baddeck and also the church organist for over 35 years. At one time she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Baddeck Fire Department.

She is survived by her husband, Gerard; her two sons, John Gerard (Nicole) Morrison, Moncton and Paul James (Julian) Morrison, Spryfield; her daughter, Anne Elizabeth Morrison, Esquimalt, BC; her two grandchild­ren, Taylor Marie and Chase Robert; her brother, Sam (Diane) Farrell, Kentville; her sister, Camilla (Michael) MacDonald, Halifax, and her sister-in-law, Mary Belle Farrell, California.

Besides her parents, Samuel and Anne, she was predecease­d by her brother, Martin Farrell, and an infant sister, Sharon.

Funeral arrangemen­ts are incomplete at this time and will be announced at a later date. Arrangemen­ts have been entrusted to the care and direction of W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney.
