Mayor should step down

I feel I’m not the only one who feels CBRM Mayor Cecil Clarke should step down while running for the Progressive Conservative provincial leadership job.

We need to have a mayor in his office daily to take care of the business in CBRM.

I have no problem with Clarke wanting to run but saying he can serve as mayor while also campaigning for the party leadership is crazy considering all the travel the latter will require.

Good luck to him but I say do the right thing and let someone else look after the matters of the mayor’s office. Beverly Joseph River Ryan
