It is with heavy hearts that we, the family of Stewart Wayne Morris, announce his peaceful passing on February 15th, 2018 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Stewart was born December 21, 1945 in Sydney to the late James Morris and Joyce Morris (Reid). Stewart’s love for his children and grandchild­ren brought him his greatest joy. Stewart was a bricklayer by trade and then he was a R.C.W. at Braemore Home, where he retired.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Morris (Anthony) and his children, Glenn Morris (Eileen) and Joyce Coffin (Robert). He will also be missed by his four grandchild­ren, Nicole (Johnny) Morris, Shaun (Makayla) Morris, Nathan Coffin and Ryan Coffin. He is also survived by his maternal uncles Jamie and Murray Reid, his aunt Shirley Coady, his paternal aunts Maisie Morris, Gwen Lafosse and Florence Abbott and many cousins. He will also be missed by best friends Donald, Skip and Mary.

Aside from his parents, he was predecease­d by his brothers, Ewen and Russell, as well as sister, Diane.

Special thanks to Dr. Danuta Kajetanowi­cz and the doctors and nurses at the ER, unit 3A and 4B, Palliative Care, the VON and Pharmasave, Charlotte Street Staff. Thank you as well to the Anthony family, especially Wes who has been by his side throughout his illness.

Visitation for Stewart will take place Sunday from 4-7 p.m. at S.W. Chant and Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra Street, Sydney. A Celebratio­n of his life will take place Monday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Sheldon Chant to officiate. Reception with the family to follow.
